My husband and I had a verbal agreement with a person who owns the property of a subdivision. He priced all his lots to us for $15,000 and we chose our lot. He was unavailable to go ahead and do written contract so we took him at his word. We went ahead and placed flags where we wanted house, signed contract with builder and were to get with this person this week to get everything taken care of and pay him. Well, he let it slip to me that someone else was interested in the lot. Later that afternoon my husband called me and said this person called and told him he wasn't going to sell the lot to us because our grandchildren would be playing outside and might get on his property. I think he wants to sell to someone else for more money. Now here we are, and i'm sure won't be able to find another lot in this price range which worked for us with the house we were building. We based what we could spend on house on how much our lot was going to cost and of course signed the contract. Now we are screwed and beside ourselves not knowing what to do. I guess no one has any honor and peoples word just don't mean anything anymore.

I just came across to your blog and reading your b...

I just came across to your blog and reading your blog it is very much impressive me It is very help full for those people who want to sell his home for the first time, really tips are very informative.

http://theproperty.blogstream.com/v1/pid/418726.html

As a Realtor I coach my home sellers and even buye...

As a Realtor I coach my home sellers and even buyers on the things you have mentioned here. Some of them are obvious, such as overpricing, but one thing that is important right now is NOT overlooking that low ball offer.
